Luxury, Laughter & S’mores— the Friendship Reset We Need

The reason I believe this is a timely and important topic is that so many of us are working from home. We’re creative, we’re following our passions, and while individuality is wonderful, and working from anywhere in the world is a privilege no generation before us has ever seen, it also has major societal and socio-emotional impacts.

Our commutes have shrunk to a walk from the bedroom to the kitchen table—if that. We’re always "on" because of our phones and the internet. How do we balance the freedom of working from anywhere with the challenge of always being available? How do we set boundaries when we rarely see another human unless we make the effort to leave our work?

The modern work landscape has changed drastically, but we’re not adjusting for the way it affects people. We teach productivity, efficiency, and success, but we’re ignoring that many are doing it all in complete isolation. Even a simple "good morning" at the local coffee shop or gas station on the way to work used to be a moment of connection before diving into the day. Checking in with coworkers in person had real mental health benefits. Getting dressed for the day, leaving the house—these were small but important routines that are now missing from many people’s lives.

I’m not arguing against working from home—I actually believe it offers incredible freedom. But sometimes, the sheer number of choices can be overwhelming. And for those of us with professional clients, even if we see people during work hours, what about the in-between moments? Who relates to the daily life of squeezing in a run between Zoom meetings, preparing a worksheet, or scrolling Pinterest for meal prep ideas? Probably more people than we realize, they just may not be in our direct peer group-until now.

We’ve created seamless ways for digital entrepreneurs and women to meet external demands—but are we actually meeting their personal needs? That’s the real question.

I’m not suggesting we overhaul the economy overnight, but as women, we need to recognize how much of our time is spent in digital connection. Social media thrives because we’ve removed in-person spaces and traditional roles that naturally fostered friendships. Many of us grew up in an analog world but now live in a fully digital one, and it’s confusing. Life feels like it’s always "on." And if we don’t take time to connect, what are we really doing?

If you ask a woman what she needs, she often doesn’t know—because there’s an endless list of things to do. But what if what we truly needed most was a good laugh? What if we needed someone who just gets our journey and our day-to-day? What if we didn’t have to justify it?

We have more choices than our grandmothers could have dreamed of. We can make money from anywhere and stay connected online. But real, in-person connection is what truly deserves our attention—it’s what brings immeasurable benefits. This is why I’m creating an antidote to the loneliness that high-achievers across all demographics experience.

We all know we need to set aside time for ourselves, but between planning, logistics, and making the time to make the time, it just never happens. We always say we’ll get around to it. Well, this is us getting around to it.

This is an opportunity for a limited number of women to experience something unforgettable—an elevated, refined, and deeply fulfilling event. We’re going to have big-girl fun and big-girl play.

For three nights and four days, we’ll stay at a luxury resort with breathtaking accommodations, gourmet food, bespoke experiences, a scavenger hunt, and s’mores by the fire. We’ll go for walks, sip coffee by the water, and most importantly—make lifelong friendships.
