Founders Story

Staying at a luxury resort changed my life. A place so intentional, so beautifully curated, that my nervous system exhaled before I even realized I had been holding my breath. It wasn’t just a setting—it was a world I had never grown up in or even knew existed. Being in that space shifted my center of gravity—my identity, my sense of self, and what I knew I thrived in. I could hear myself think. A place that was so counter to hustle culture

I blissfully forgot the digital world existed.

That moment planted the seed for True North—a retreat designed with that same level of intention. A space where women can step away from the noise, release the obligations they carry, and experience something that isn’t just relaxing, but truly transformative.

A Different Kind of Luxury Experience

True North is only held at exclusive locations, and this edition is being held April 2025 at the iconic Sagamore Resort in Upstate, New York—a world-class destination chosen not just for its beauty, but because where you are shapes how you feel.

I know for myself, when I am feeling always on or dysregulated, I can be mean, uncomfortable in my own body, disconnected, frustrated, and lonely. When I am overwhelmed and crazed, I find myself living a life I never even meant to—becoming a person I don’t recognize. It happens so fast. One day, I look up and wonder, How did I get here?

That’s why I created True North—a clearing, a space to come back to who we really are. A sanctuary where women can come exactly as they are and truly recharge and reconnect. Paint, laugh, go for a hike, have coffee while staring at the lake, meet a new friend at the bonfire. A new, premier network that feels more like a sisterhood. I curate each retreat experiences to deliver world-class programming, and also to feel like a great big hug.

The truth is, these retreats are for me, too. They remind me that there are other souls out there who believe in simplicity, holistic success, personal development and the power of stepping away from the noise. That women holding space for other women is sacred work. We know an entire generation needs us to get off our phones and back into our bodies. At True North you are free to do as you please, within a strict media policy. Our branding is intentionally influencer-free and faceless because our collective experience is not content, nor a commodity. We will craft tangible strategies to let go of the unseen pressures and expectations that feel so heavy. We will also laugh, make new best friends and be pampered with gifts—and it will be so. much. fun.

All of this, in the most perfect setting—the Forever Wild Adirondack Park.

True North is more than an event—it’s a return to yourself. And I can’t wait to welcome you.

With so much love,

Stephanie
